Submissions

The Columbia Journal of European Law (CJEL) welcomes the submission of unsolicited articles, essays, comments, book reviews, and legislative developments on current topics in European Union Law. CJEL also welcomes contributions exploring any dimension of European Law, including those at the national and regional levels. Submissions can be made for both the print journal and online supplement.

Any submission to CJEL must be unpublished. CJEL asks that authors include a CV and short abstract along with their submission. Submissions with footnotes that conform to the most recent edition of The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation are appreciated but not required. Submissions for the online supplement should be 1,000 to 1,500 words in length and relate to a current topic in European law (preferably no older than 6 months), and citations should be followed by a URL where available.

Please upload your submission in Microsoft Word format. We will accept submissions in Adobe PDF, although they are not preferred. To submit by email, please write at: jrneur@law.columbia.edu
